Psychotherapist: Louise

As a registered Integrative Art Psychotherapist Louise as trained extensively to meet the professional standards of the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). She attained a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with Honours, and a Master of Arts in Integrative Art Psychotherapy. In addition, she is also accredited with the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP).
Louise has long term experience of adult outpatient services and specialised in working with Eating Disorders. This experience has welcomed a diverse client group and various presentations such as Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Neurodiversity and other presenting matters like loss, anxiety, identity, work related and existential issues.
Her approach to therapeutic practice integrates both humanistic and psychodynamic theories tailored to the needs of the client. A non-directive approach allows the client to creatively explore and navigate their story within a compassionate space. The arts are seen as a tool, used as and when, to support this exploration. Louise’s approach envisions the client holistically on their unique therapeutic journey.
