About Lisa
Low-cost affordable counselling and psychotherapy (Online, telephone and face-to-face)

My name is Lisa and for the last 35 years, I have worked with a wide section of the community with wide-ranging circumstances. I have experience working in the corporate sector, as well as in adult social care; in the community and in a hospital. I also have experience working in the voluntary (third) sector. I work with adults 18+.

I am compassionate and curious by nature as well as offering some humour too where appropriate. I value the uniqueness of humanity and believe sometimes we just need a place to be, to be truly heard and to heal. To slow down and reflect.

I offer consultations for individuals who want to explore and improve how they manage their emotions more effectively. Psychotherapy can offer you the chance to challenge unhealthy belief systems and behaviours that are negatively affecting your relationship with yourself and others. The effects of our past can affect the present, and in psychotherapy, the potential for reflection can be explored for change which can be transformative.

I am a psychotherapist in advanced training, practising under supervision. In addition to private practice in Leeds, I also provide counselling in Bradford.

Being Neurodivergent myself I have lived as well as professional experience. I have a particular interest in this area, for those with a diagnosis and self-identifying. Pre, Post and late Diagnosis. Also with Perimenopause and Menopause. Music, Exercise/Fitness throughout ones lifetime and family heritage. I am also an adult learner of music and an on-and-off runner, from competing to now being more relaxed.

Qualifications: CPCAB Person Centred Certificate in Counselling Skills – Level 2, Introduction to Transactional Analysis (TA101), Foundation Certificate in Transactional Analysis, Reframing Autism, Understanding Autism Diploma, BA (Hons) Social Work and Level 2 Certificate Introduction to Nutrition and Health.

I am a registered member of UKATA and ITAA as Trainee Transactional Analyst. I follow UKATA ethical codes and professional standards.

I have Professional Liability Insurance, Enhanced DBS and up-to-date Safeguarding Adults Training. All of my work is covered with ongoing training and supervision. And I am always engaged in professional development. I like to keep up to date with current research and thinking in the field.
