Sarah Naylor - Neuro-affirmative Psychotherapist and Counsellor MBACP

I am an integrative psychotherapist who works in a relational way with a warm and compassionate approach. You are assured of an empathetic, non-judgemental and nurturing space where you are invited to bring your ‘whole authentic self’ and explore whatever is causing you difficulty. You may have a clear idea of what is causing you unrest or difficulty, or just a sense that things do not feel quite right.
I respect and value that we are all uniquely different and adopt a bespoke and collaborative approach based on your unique needs. That may be to improve your mental health or work towards personal goals. Whatever your priorities, I will aim to help you gain insight and understanding, empowering you to make the choices that are right for your future.
I have over 30 years of experience working in the NHS with a wide variety of presentations which include anxiety, depression, trauma, relational difficulties, abuse, bereavement and life transitions.
I also have a specialist interest and experience in fertility difficulties, pregnancy, birth trauma, baby / child loss, postnatal depression and parenting difficulties. I recognise that our own personal history of being parented, or experiences we have no control over, can affect our connection with our own baby or child or affect our relationships.
We cannot change our past but often, gaining insight and compassion for ourselves, offers alternatives for the future.
I work with young people aged 16 plus and adults and my practice is neuro-affirmative.
