Emma Lambert - Counselling and Psychotherapy
Hi, my name’s Emma and I am a qualified counsellor and HE lecturer. I work with clients from teens to adults, covering a wide range of issues. These include anxiety, depression and more complex mental health needs. I have a special interest in working with Autism and experiences of trauma.
I have a honors degree in Integrative Counselling, a Masters in Counselling and Psychotherapy and a PGCE to teach Counselling to trainee Counsellors. I am now undertaking a PhD researching abuse experiences in Autistic people assigned female at birth.
My approach is integrative. I draw upon Humanistic, Psychodynamic and CBT therapies, and I can tailor therapy to meet your needs. I have experience of working with a diverse range of issues and mental health conditions. My approach is trauma-informed and I am allied with all diverse cultural and social groups. I am an advocate for neuro-affirming therapy and love supporting clients to find their authentic ND identity.
Deciding to undertake therapy can be a daunting process and I completely understand the nerves in reaching out to someone for support. Taking the next step to contact a therapist can be difficult, but I would be more than happy to talk through your options via phone or email.
I am offering therapy via telephone or online for anyone in the UK. We can discuss options and you can choose which option suits your schedule and preference.
If you feel we could be a good fit, contact me and we can book in a call or zoom meet to test the waters!
