Child, adolescent and adult psychotherapist
I’m an experienced child & adolescent psychotherapist working with children, teenagers and young adults in Clapham, London, and online.
Our world is not designed to meet the needs of the neurodivergent. Autistic young people and children, and those with ADHD, can find they struggle to navigate a neurotypical society that doesn’t really understand them, however well-meaning.
School can be particularly difficult in terms of sensory issues such as noise and crowded spaces, as well as with new rules and expectations for the child or young person to understand.
The teenage years can be especially challenging. Experiences with friendships, school, social media, and can affect how neurodivergent young people see themselves and where they feel they belong. They can benefit from a safe, confidential space where together we can think about what is going on for them and what might help make life more easeful.
As an autistic woman, I specialise in working with neurodivergent clients and understand how important it is to feel accepted and understood. I offer a calm, welcoming space where young people can explore what’s going on for them at their own pace. Sessions may involve talking, creative activities, or play — whatever feels most comfortable.
