Tara Allen: Psychotherapist
I am an experienced neurodivergent therapist specialising in working with ADHD and Autism. I also work for an NHS trust as a Senior Psychological Therapist, and as well as being the Neurodiversity Champion for the service. I volunteer with an ADHD charity as a trustee, supervisor, and safegaurding lead, and outside of this, reguarly build and run workshops on neurodiversity.
In a nutshell, my personal therapeutic approach is pragmatic and compassionate, and I am trained to work in three evidence-based modalities; Psychodynamic, CBT and Dynamic Interpersonal Therapy. I focus on the individual person and what they want to achieve through therapy, and provide a safe, confidential space for you to feel heard. I can help you to explore your emotions, create new insights, facilitate change in your life, and break troubling thought or behaviour patterns.
Whether this is your first time talking about a problem, or you’ve been in therapy before, I will offer warmth and compassion, and provide a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space for you to talk about your life at your own pace. Please feel free to get in touch if you have any questions, or think therapy might be useful for you.
