I faced challenges during early motherhood, and was diagnosed with depression but antidepressants and CBT were ineffective. After a decade of feeling frustrated with my lack of progress, I began exploring hypnotherapy. My therapist suggested the exploration of ADHD, a suggestion that made me chuckle. My experience in teaching had only suggested ADHD was hyperactivity, a trait I didn’t perceive in myself. I felt a sense of clarity after flicking through a book my therapist provided me about ADHD in women. The support I received through my diagnosis and access to work application was instrumental in helping me embrace my unique strengths and thrive. This experience fuelled my passion to empower women with ADHD to understand and manage their challenges, enabling them to live fulfilling and successful lives. My experience with women is strengthened by being trained in postnatal yoga, encountering thousands of women and mothers.
