Michelle - Neuro-affirming Therapy for Religious Trauma & Body Image Concerns

Many of the individuals I work with describe living a life where they fear being both “too much” and “not enough” all at the same time. We work together to explore the source of those messages and determine how they want to engage with the world in a way that honors exactly who they are.
I’m a late-identified neurodivergent person who pursued a career as a mental health counselor following my own experience of complex trauma related to harm in a religious context. I provide neuro-affirming services that focus on honoring and meeting the needs of the person I’m working with. I specialize in working with survivors of religious harm, folks who are navigating body image concerns or body disconnection, and late-identified neurodivergent individuals. My services are available via telehealth to adults (18+) located in North Carolina, USA. I’m happy to offer a free, 15-minute virtual consultation to see if we might be a good fit for working together.
