Leigh Moniz, MSW
I am an openly queer and autistic therapist, specializing in neuro- and gender-diversity. I believe authenticity, transparency, and collaboration are the cornerstones of the therapeutic relationship. I rely heavily on neurodiversity-affirming and client-centered approaches, believing that therapy should be accessible to everyone, regardless of their learning style and unique needs and goals. My goal as a therapist is to help you gain further insight into YOU, your thoughts, behaviors, and emotions, helping you to realign with your values, and become your awesome, authentic self so that you can live your best life.
While I specialize in autism and issues with neurodiversity and gender diversity, I also have extensive experience with other systemically marginalized populations with concurrent mental health concerns, including complex trauma. I believe you are the expert in your own life, and I provide a judgment-free zone for you to engage in therapeutic practice.
For clients who are apprehensive about in-person appointments, but feel this would be the best approach for them, I am happy to provide video walkthroughs and step-by-step instructions to ease the transition to the office. I look forward to meeting you, wherever you are on your journey and how ever you decide to show up (and glow up!) in therapy.
