I am a warm, compassionate, non-judgemental Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist, with over 13 years experience working in NHS Talking Therapies, as well as in private practice, treating a variety of Anxiety disorders and Depression.
I have worked with a great variety of people, from all walks of life, all with unique stories and difficulties. I specialise in adapting CBT for the Neurodiverse population.
I use predominantly Cognitive Behavioural Therapy Techniques, incorporating aspects from different therapeutic modalities, depending on your specific needs. These include Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) and Mindfulness techniques.
Embarking on therapy is a special journey, and feeling comfortable with your choice of therapist is a really important aspect of this, which can itself impact on therapeutic benefits. I use a range of techniques, including ACT, DBT, Mindfulness and self-compassion, to complement traditional CBT. I have an informal, semi-structured approach to therapy sessions, working towards your individual goals for treatment. Everyone has a unique story, which requires a unique approach. No single approach will work for everyone, so I will work with you to find the approach that works best for you.
