Ashley Elefant Baratz, Ph.D. - Neurodivergent Clinical Psychologist
I am a licensed Clinical Psychologist specializing in assessment and therapy for neurodivergent individuals throughout the lifespan, with a specific focus on working with ADHDers and Autistic individuals who have escaped early diagnosis for a variety of reasons.
Through strengths-based assessment and therapy services, my goal is to provide comprehensive resources and tailored skills to help neurodivergent individuals get their needs met and thrive in a world that oftentimes feels as if it is working against them. As an ADHDer myself who has spent my career seeking ongoing training on ADHD and Autism, I bring many years of personal and professional experience to the clients that I serve.
In addition to individual therapy and assessment, I also very much enjoy working with couples and families. I frequently work with couples in which one or both partners are neurodivergent. I utilize a combination of traditional, research-informed couples therapy (Gottman method) and innovative neurodiversity-affirming skills therapy to help neurodivergent individuals and their partners have long-term, successful relationships. I also often work with families in which one or more individuals identify as neurodivergent. These collaborative sessions include learning skills to improve communication, problem solving, and emotional regulation to assist in developing strong relationships.
Overall, I aim to provide clients with resources tailored to their individual needs and learning skills, and address some of the co-occurring mental health difficulties that may have developed as a result of previous lack of support. Comprehensive services are meant to help individuals learn more about their unique needs, and how to get these needs met.
