Leigh - Coaching and mentoring for newly identifying neurodivergent adults and young people
Are you a late-diagnosed neurodivergent person proactively seeking support? If so, you have come to the right place.
I am a late-diagnosed AuDHD, neuroinclusive coach who combines professional training with lived experience to coach/mentor neurodivergent people as they work to understand and support themselves more effectively.
Creating a life that honours your strengths, needs and values is fundamental to my approach. With a background spanning both the corporate world and small business, education and health, and as a wife and mother to a neurodivergent family, I have real-world insight into how neurodivergent conditions can both enhance and complicate life.
I am passionate about supporting you through the transitions that follow neurodivergent identification. This period can bring profound shifts in how we see ourselves, and while diagnosis may have felt like a goal, it is just the beginning. So I offer a blend of coaching and psycho-education to assist as you interpret your experiences, reframe your story, and begin to move forward with greater confidence.
In addition to person-centred, bespoke coaching, I offer two complementary programmes that focus on key areas affecting many of us following a diagnosis of a neurodivergent condition. These programmes all have sliding scale access, for details of each, see http://www.tiskimo.com/programmes/
Fundamentally, I am here to listen and actively support you.
– Perhaps you are feeling overwhelmed or exhausted, unsure how to navigate your recent diagnosis.
– Maybe you are struggling to tackle long-standing challenges such as sensory overload, masking, executive functioning difficulties or challenges with particular interactions or boundaries.
– Or maybe it’s a more generalised feeling of ‘not fitting in’ which has challenged your ability to live well that you would like to ‘unpick’.
– Perhaps you are struggling to prioritise your own needs, feeling misunderstood by others or finding work and social environments draining.
– Or maybe you have plenty of ideas of things you could do, but feel unsure how to begin.
Whatever you bring to our coaching sessions, my overall approach is strengths-based and firmly neuroinclusive. I am a warm and down-to-earth coach, skilled in offering constructive challenge while remaining deeply empathic. Our sessions will be collaborative and paced according to your preferences, recognising that how you show up may vary from moment to moment.
Being neurodivergent in our society is not easy. I provide a safe, confidential space where you can unmask (if you want to), explore ideas and experiment with new ways of being. Together, we look at what matters most to you and clarify the direction you want your life to take, identifying the conditions you need to thrive and how to create more of them. Through thoughtful questions and constructive challenge, we explore your patterns, strengths and stress points so you can make informed choices, uncover stories or assumptions that may be holding you back and reshape what no longer serves you. I will support you in developing practical strategies that protect your energy and well-being, strengthen your confidence, communication, and self-advocacy, and help you navigate the challenges and opportunities that come with neurodivergent identification.
