Liz Wylde - LMSW
It makes sense that you’re overwhelmed, exhausted, and burned out. It makes sense that you’re angry, You’ve been working SO HARD to survive in a world that says there’s only one right way to be!
My approach to therapy is rooted in a simple idea: that you are not broken; the systems we live under have made you believe that because they were not designed for you. Many of my clients (and myself!) are queer, trans, nonbinary, and/or neurodivergent — all identities that have been made to feel inferior in our culture, which values neurotypicality, heteronormativity, whiteness, and conformity above all else.
In therapy, we’ll explore the ways your parts have adapted to help you survive up to now, and learn how to honor and celebrate them while forging new paths that allow you to live as your true, authentic self.
I earned my Master of Social Work degree in 2017 from the University of Michigan and am a Licensed Master Social Worker. My clinical experience includes school social work and psychotherapy & counseling. I am trained in Internal Family Systems (IFS) level 1, a trauma-informed, evidence-based approach that helps people identify, understand, and heal their inner “parts” while fostering connection with the core Self. Using the Internal Family Systems model, we’ll work toward creating harmony in your internal world and befriending all the parts of you that have worked so hard to protect you through the years.
