Vik Dudley - Queer Counselling

I offer a free 20-minute consult to gauge how well we might work together.
Sessions are £50 and 50-minutes long. I work online and offer in-person sessions in Manchester, UK.
The effectiveness of therapy is influenced by the relationship between the client and their counsellor. Understandably, this means you want to get to know me before deciding whether you want to work with me. Well…
I am white, working-class, neurodivergent, queer and ethically non-monogamous. I am non-binary and use they/them pronouns. While I want to appear professional, I am also unashamedly myself; I have an undercut, dyed hair, facial piercings and tattoos. I won’t attend our sessions dressed in typical business-wear (I’d rather we were both comfortable).
I have a BA in Japanese Studies and before I become a counsellor, I was a freelance illustrator. I spend my free time playing video games and TTRPGs with my friends.
I was drawn to counselling because I have a strong desire to help people. I’ve never liked the idea of saving the world in a broad sense, I’d rather help one person at a time so that no one gets left behind. I am passionate about social justice and improving the world we live in, and I do my best to continue to expand my knowledge and examine my prejudices. Intersectional acitivism is the only way forward, in my opinion.
