Sophie Longley - Autistic Career mentor

Hi there, I am a neurodiversity-affirming late-diagnosed autistic mentor based in Brighton, East Sussex. I work with late diagnosed (including self-diagnosed) autistic women who are finding it hard to find a career that works for them or need guidance navigating the workplace as newly diagnosed/identified. My goal is to help you find you a fulfilling career that works with your neurotype, not against it!
So far, I’ve helped my mentees with the following:
• Identifying their skills, strengths and career values
•Career pivots
•Finding work experience opportunities
•Interview tips and practice
•Tailored support with CVs, cover letters and job applications
•Identifying and requesting reasonable adjustments (e.g. sensory needs)
•Disclosing their autistic identity to colleagues
•Decision-making and executive functioning (e.g. organisation)
I conduct my sessions on evenings & weekends, usually online but offer in-person ‘walk and talk’ sessions in the Brighton & Hove and Falmer area
•Most of my mentees choose 60-minute sessions on a weekly basis but session length and frequency can vary according to your needs. For online sessions, I normally use video-call (Zoom, Teams) but adapt the sessions to your preference (cameras on or off and breaks)
