Online Therapy with Mary Kathleen
Hi, I’m Mary.
I was diagnosed with ADHD in my late 20’s (it’s common for women to be diagnosed later in life, as we tend to learn to ‘mask’ our symptoms from a young age, making them less outwardly obvious to others). As a now qualified integrative counsellor, I work to support other neurodivergent individuals who may be just exploring a diagnosis or could have known their whole life.
I am a down to earth counsellor and I provide a calm, and warm approach to therapy.
Sessions take place remotely so you can connect with me from your own home, or wherever you feel most comfortable.
I have training in the prominent therapeutic approaches; Person-centred, Cognitive behavioural, Psychodynamic and Attachment theory. I draw on a variety of techniques and tools, tailoring my approach to your own individual needs.
I will take a holistic view, exploring your current emotions and thought processes, as well as considering developmental aspects, family, and cultural influences that may be important to your world.
I work in a relational way, focusing on connecting with you and building our therapeutic relationship, working towards solutions as and when this feels manageable for you.
I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and practice in-line with their ethical standards.
