Jack - Neuro and LGBTQ+ affirming therapy in person in Oxford and online
Neurodivergent and queer individuals are more likely to experience mental health difficulties, yet often find themselves feeling misunderstood by professionals. Whatever your neurotype and however you identify, I offer affirming and inclusive therapy both online and face-to-face. I work with clients experiencing a wide range of issues, including trauma, relationship difficulties, anxiety and low mood, as well as supporting those who are questioning or exploring their identity, and those who simply feel that something in their life is not quite right.
As well as my lived experience as a late-diagnosed autistic ADHDer, I hold a Masters’ in Psychology and a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling, and I have extensive experience working in an autism and ADHD service providing pre- and post-diagnostic support. As a queer trans man I also have a deep understanding of the issues facing the LGBTQ+ community and in particular the trans+ community.
I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). This means that I work in line with their ethical framework and engage in regular training and professional development.
I understand that choosing a counsellor can feel overwhelming, and it is important to choose someone you will feel safe with. If you feel I might be a good fit for you, please get in touch to arrange a free 15-30 minute call.
