Mel graduated as a social worker from the University of Malta in 2016, and has a Master’s Degree in Psychotherapy from the Gestalt Psychotherapy Training Institute Malta (GPTIM). They also have a diploma in life coaching, which supports them when motivating clients experiencing difficult hurdles in their life.

Mel is particularly experienced in working with people experiencing anxiety, depression, or addiction after having spent the past 6 years working directly with individuals experiencing drug, alcohol, and gambling addiction. They are also passionate about gender and sexuality, as well as neurodiversity such as ADHD and Autism. In fact, Mel frequently provides training and talks regarding the topics of LGBTQIA+ and ADHD, as well as talks and training regarding gambling addiction.

Mel uses various techniques in their work with clients, of note is their use of humour, as Mel is a firm believer that humour connects us and can help clients feel more comfortable.

Mel’s passions include spending time in nature, and travelling to beautiful places to learn more about different cultures and experiences. Mel is also a fan of history, and can be easily found in a museum or studying an old book.
