Hi I’m Jessie Skeggs. I am a movement coach and also am autistic with ADHD. I initially wanted to be a dancer, but ended up as a comic actress and writer before choosing to follow my first love of movement and in 2000 re-training as a personal trainer, then Body Control Pilates instructor and more recently as a Level 3 Franklin Method Educator.

I now combine all these modalities and many other ideas I have studied for my own body into my teaching, specialising in Hypermobility/Hypermobility Syndrome and EDS. Please see my website where I have several blogs which delve into the approach I take to teach those with hypermobility and how this can differ from the usual approach that fitness and medical practitioners apply as it is informed by my own experience of my hypermobile body through my own AuDHD lens.

I have recently developed a 6 x 1 hour sessions course specifically for adult hypermobile clients, taking them through understanding of the condition, through identifying how their body has adapted to it, finding the right tools for them to affect it positively and creating a personalised daily programme to bring them back to comfortable efficient movement.

I also help groups, individuals and children aged 11+ understand, notice and experience how to move in different ways. I help them discover any unhelpful movement habits they may have that could be causing problems and using a blend of methods from over 25 years of teaching experience, I gently help them to change.
