Emma - Occupational Therapy for teenagers and young people
You may be here because your teen or young person is struggling with big emotions, anxiety, shutdowns or explosive behaviour that affect daily life.
Education, friendships, routines, self-care, personal safety or independence feel hard to sustain, and you feel stuck with the best way to support them.
You are looking for support that deeply understands mental health, autism, neurodiversity generally, and the pressures young people face today.
You want them to feel more comfortable, confident, able to do the things they want to; not just cope, but have the understanding and tools they need to thrive. You want them to understand more fully what neurodiversity means for them and what they need.
This is where I can help.
I provide occupational therapy for teens and young people where social, emotional and mental health difficulties impact daily life. I specialise in supporting autistic and neurodivergent young people, using evidence-based, neuro-affirming approaches to build regulation, independence, and meaningful participation at home, in education and in the community.
When your child is struggling, it can feel isolating for the whole family. Many parents seek occupational therapy feeling unsure what support will truly help. I offer compassionate support shaped around your child’s strengths, needs and goals. If you’re considering whether occupational therapy could help your young person, I warmly invite you to reach out.
