Dr Kirsty Horne - Clinical Psychologist
Hi, my name is Kirsty. I have worked in the field of Psychology since 2003 and qualified as a Clinical Psychologist in 2010. I was late diagnosed as autistic at the age of 44.
I have worked helping clients across the lifespan in a range of settings and have helped many clients suffering with emotional difficulties such as anxiety, depression and trauma related to neurodivergence and chronic physical health conditions.
Following a thorough assessment, I use a tailored approach to help clients. I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitisation & Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), Behavioural Family Therapy (BFT), Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), Health Behaviour Change (HBC) strategies, and Compassion-Focused therapy (CFT). I have recently completed further training on adapting therapy for autistic adults.
I am very genuine and approachable and would be happy to work with you to help you achieve your goals and improve your emotional wellbeing.
I work individually with adults (18+) based in Glasgow and Renfrewshire. I also see people UK-wide via video platform. I accept self-funding clients or those using health insurance.
