I am a neurodivergent Psychotherapeutic Counselor with lived experience of ADHD, Dyslexia and Dyscalculia. I specialize in working with those that are neurodivergent. I have experience working in private practice and in therapy clinics. It gives me a sense of purpose, joy and belonging to help those that are neurodivergent. I’m here to help you become more of your wonderful neurodivergent self. To walk along side you in sadness, discovery, pain and joy. And when you falter to be there to pick you back up and with time, you’ll walk yourself into your new chapter with a richer sense of neurodivergent you.

As someone who was diagnosed in adulthood I know what it’s like for your lived experience to suddenly be validated but perhaps also be overwhelmed with where to start. It can be incredibly hard living in a neurotypical world as a neurodivergent person. When there is not enough support, skills or awareness around neurodivergence this can lead and exacerbate trauma, masking, sensory deregulation and shame resulting in a loss of a neurodivergent you. And sadly, the world we live in doesn’t offer enough support to those that are neurodivergent. I hope to be a part of that change.

I believe it is vital to work with someone that at least offers neuro-affirming care or therapy can do more harm than good. For example, a common occurrence is confusion between what is a neurodivergent distress symptom and what is a trauma symptom. If the therapist is not aware of that difference they can misattribute the neurodivergence to another diagnosis which can reinforce masking and shame.

I work in a style of psychotherapy called Gestalt. It is an integrative form of therapy using talking therapy, embodiment and other creative outlets, attachment theory, trauma work and more. In the end I adjust therapy to your needs. Without getting into the technical details, what is important is it works in a way which looks at your lived experience as the focal point of therapy. Which I believe is paramount when working with neurodivergence. Also, it is a relational style of therapy meaning much of the healing is done within the dialogue and relationship between therapist and client. It also often works with mindfulness and body awareness which for neurodivergence can be incredibility supportive.

I offer short term (min 12 sessions) and long term therapy online or in person at my place of practice around London Bridge Station and Peckham Rye. See links below:
