Hello and welcome! I know that reaching out for therapy can feel overwhelming, especially if you’ve ever felt misunderstood, struggled to open up, or found traditional approaches unhelpful. That’s why I focus on creating a warm, safe, and accepting space where you can feel truly seen, heard, and valued, just as you are.

About me

I am a Psychotherapist specialising in ADHD and Autism, working with young people and adults online or face to face within Derby and Nottingham. Although every client is unique, I typically support clients navigating issues such as: burnout, rejection sensitivity, emotional dysregulation, executive functioning struggles, and the impact these have on self-esteem, identity, and relationships.

I’m not a blank-slate therapist, I’m engaged, human, and very present in the room. I’ll gently challenge you when it helps, sit with you when it feels heavy, and meet you with warmth, honesty, and humour.

Alongside my lived experience as a neurodivergent woman, I have extensive professional experience supporting young people and adults, both in charities across the East Midlands and in private practice. I hold a BSc in Psychology, an MA (Level 7) in Person-Centred Psychotherapy, and my masters research focused on the autistic female experience of unmasking and moving toward authenticity. This means our work is informed by both practical experience and a genuine understanding of what it’s like to navigate these challenges.

I am also an accredited registrant member of the NCPS (The National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society), which reflects my commitment to delivering therapy that meets the highest ethical and professional standards.

Who I Work With

Although I support adults and young people with a variety of challenges, I specialise in working with ADHD and Autism.
If you’re neurodivergent, you may have spent years holding it all together, masking who you are, managing sensory overwhelm, people-pleasing, and constantly wondering: Am I too much? Or not enough? Maybe you’ve hit burnout from day-to-day life, realised how deeply rejection sensitivity or low self-esteem has been shaping your work and relationships, or simply feel exhausted from surviving in a world that you feel wasn’t built for your brain.

You’re not failing, you’ve been surviving. I get it. I’ve been there. I know what it’s like to mask, overextend, and feel misunderstood. This space is for you to pause, be seen, and begin working in ways that truly support your neurodivergent mind, rather than against it.

About My Therapeutic Approach

I practice with a person-centred ethos, placing you at the heart of our sessions. This approach ensures that therapy is guided by your unique needs and goals at a pace that feels comfortable for you. My goal is to create a safe, empowering space where you can explore your thoughts and emotions without fear of judgment or pressure.

While the person-centred philosophy forms the foundation of my practice, I understand that therapy isn’t a one-size-fits-all process. That’s why I adopt a flexible, integrative approach, drawing on various therapeutic techniques to tailor our work to your specific preferences and circumstances. Whether you need a structured approach or something more fluid, our sessions will be adapted to meet your individual needs.

Flexible Therapy Options

I offer therapy face-to-face, online, or over the phone, ensuring that support is accessible in the way that suits you best. I offer therapy on a weekly or fortnightly basis.

Free Consultation

Choosing the right therapist is important, so I offer a free 20-minute consultation. This is an opportunity for us to get to know each other, discuss what’s been going on for you, and talk about what you’re hoping to achieve through therapy. It’s ultimately a chance for you to see if I am the right therapist for you.

When we work together, you can:

Show up however you like- no pressure to use your camera for online sessions if it’s too much that day

Use fidget toys, sensory supports, or whatever helps you

Avoid eye contact if needed

Take breaks during sessions if needed

Request reminders for sessions

Request summaries of what we discussed, so nothing gets lost

Work at your own pace – no pressure to “perform” or meet rigid expectations
