I work with women and non-binary adults ages 18+. I tend to attract those with later-in-life diagnosed (or self-diagnosed) Autism, ADHD, AuDHD and general Neurodivergent minds. Those who experience sensory sensitivity and who recognize their minds differ from societal norms may be very sensitive to textures, smells, lighting, noise, social norms, and emotions. This may have caused irritability, anxiety, overwhelm or a strong desire for isolation. Neurodivergent people may become people-pleasers as well, struggle with setting boundaries, and may have been called “shy” or “too sensitive” or “different” throughout their lives.

I also work with those who have experienced trauma in their past and are ready to work through it using EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing), mindfulness, and somatic work. EMDR is also helpful for anxiety and phobias.

I pull from a variety of therapeutic approaches, and often utilize therapeutic foundations from attachment theory, parts work, re-parenting the inner child, existentialism, sandtray, somatic work, mindfulness, and more. I help clients focus on the emotions and feelings behind their struggles, which are often hidden deeper within, and may stem from early childhood experiences. Locating these true emotions, and asking ourselves where they stem from, often provide us with the answers we need.

I utilize humor in counseling to help ease and unpack the mind. Humor and laughter are a necessary part of the healing process. I don’t believe there is a “one size fits all” approach when it comes to therapy. For that reason, I like to explore options with each client and adjust as needed. I can lead the sessions and challenge you, or I can be more of a listening ear and sounding board. We will discuss what works best for you.

Lastly, I have a direct approach that I cater to each client. I am known to call my clients out when I notice them getting in their own way. I use accountability work often.

This is your personal journey, and I look forward to supporting you in navigating every twist and turn.
