Chelsea Irwin, LCSW
My therapy approach is trauma-informed and identity affirmative, emphasizing non-judgment and safety. I help individuals overcome relationship conflicts, painful disappointments, and recent life changes. Together, we’ll work to resolve current crises, explore patterns and fears, and learn coping skills for lasting change.
I specialize in working with people with “complex presentations,” meaning, they’ve had several attempts at therapy, have been traumatized by the process, or have a long list of traumas and intersecting identities. I’m at the intersection of several identities myself, and I’m late-diagnosed neurodivergent. I’ve spent my professional life, and much of my free time learning the best techniques in the field, and finding creative ways to make therapy more approachable and accessible to all.
I work with adults, teenagers, couples, and families. I have several years’ experience treating depression, anxiety, ADHD, Autism, Complex-PTSD/PTSD, and personality disorders. My clients are often highly sensitive, and keenly aware of the injustices of the world. I help offer hope for those who feel disillusioned and restless. I’m a thinking-partner and collaborator. Whether you’re diagnosed, late-diagnosed, or suspect you may be neurodivergent, we’ll explore ways to safely un-mask and de-shame all of your wounded parts.
We can work together to help you build a life with meaning, fulfilling relationships, and a sense of ease.
