Do you find yourself getting easily overwhelmed? Perhaps you are tired of having a busy brain that overthinks, overanalyses, and critiques everything you do. Possibly you’ve been told you’re too sensitive, over-emotional or too caring. Unforeseen change and uncertainty may make you anxious and after periods of socialising, you need alone time to recharge. This might mean you feel different, or boring, leading you to think negatively about yourself. Perhaps you outwardly appear very “together” or successful but hide-away that life seems harder for you than it does for others, leaving you feeling like an imposter. You may suspect or already know you’re highly-sensitive or neurodivergent.

As a neurodivergent therapist, I want you to know the problem is not with you and that your struggles, your sensitivity, and the unique way you experience the world are valid. I’m here to help you understand your challenges, embrace and amplify your strengths and find self-acceptance so you can navigate the world on your terms.

Whilst starting therapy can at first feel scary, having a private space that is just yours, where you can focus on yourself and explore your past, present and future can be a real relief. Some sessions are more serious and emotive, but smiles, laughter and the occasional swear are not at all uncommon. I work online and I have grown to love this way of providing therapy. The benefits of using technology to connect means you can have therapy wherever you can create a confidential space, be it at work, a quiet park, or at home in comfortable pyjamas, hot drink in hand and your dog or cat by your side.

I understand thinking about starting therapy is an anxious process, especially if you have never experienced it before. There are a lot of options and just browsing therapists’ profiles can feel overwhelming and draining. If you connect with my profile and choose to contact me, I will respond within 48 hours, but I ideally try to respond as soon as possible.

You are welcome to book a free no-obligation 20-minute video or telephone appointment, so we can meet and see if the way I work suits you. If my experience, style or our availability doesn’t match, I am happy to offer guidance or alternative recommendations.
