Rebecca Bourke - Neurodivergence Affirming Counselling

I’m an integrative therapist, which means I work with you to figure out what works best for you. Some people primarily want a place to talk, some people want to learn practical tools. Some people want to explore the past, others want to stay in the present. Whatever it is you want, the most important thing I do is not get in your way.
A lot of people who discovered they were neurodivergent as adults, or never had their diagnosis properly explained to them as children, spent their whole lives feeling as though they were “wrong” or “broken”. They often find it healing to reframe their differences through the lens of neurodiversity, and reframe their struggles in realizing the specific ways their wiring meant they needed better accommodations and more understanding from others. We’ve spent our whole lives trying to figure out what’s expected of us, now we get to stop and look at who we actually are.
