Nick - Long Valley Therapy

* I’m currently quite busy, so my availability may be limited at times.
About me:
I am a late-identified autistic and ADHD (AuDHD), Senior Accredited Therapist with a particular interest in supporting others who are coming to understand themselves through this lens later in life. That process can bring relief, grief, clarity and confusion, often all at once. I offer a space to explore what this means for you, without judgement or expectation.
My approach is integrative and underpinned by existential therapy. I draw from a range of models, but always with an emphasis on how we live, relate, make meaning, and navigate uncertainty.
I am not a directive or technique-led therapist. Instead, I work relationally and reflectively, with a focus on your lived experience as it unfolds in the here and now. Therapy with me is collaborative and shaped around your needs, not imposed from a set template.
I take a neuro-affirming, identity-first stance. I do not see Autism or ADHD as problems to be treated or overcome. Many of the difficulties people bring to therapy stem not from who they are, but from a world that misunderstands and marginalises them. I aim to offer a space where you do not need to mask, and where your experience is met with respect and curiosity.
I work with adults only, but I am happy to signpost to appropriate support for children or young people if needed.
I offer both online and in-person sessions, and I warmly welcome enquiries about supervision or personal therapy.
