Rania - Registered Social Worker, MSW, RSW

I am a queer, AuDHD, Palestinian-Egyptian and Filipino womxn and racialized settler in what is known today as Ontario, Canada.
My lived experiences as a biracial, 1st gen. immigrant, disabled, queer person from a working class family fuel my passion and ongoing commitment to bring culturally responsive, intersectional feminist and decolonial approaches to wellness, healing, and care into my practice.
My work is rooted in years of experience supporting people through life transitions, identity exploration, and systemic barriers. In addition to my private practice, I also provide individual counselling to students at the University of Waterloo. In the past, I’ve supported transient youth in residential programs in Toronto, helping them access the care, resources, and life skills needed to move beyond the shelter system. I’ve also facilitated mental health-focused recreation and community programming for children and families in the Kitchener-Waterloo and Halton regions.
In our sessions together, I will strive to create a warm and welcoming environment where you feel seen, heard, accepted, safe, comfortable and supported to explore your thoughts, emotions, sensations and experiences. You should also expect laughter and silliness, and sharing moments of joy and celebration together. While we may encounter some periods of discomfort and difficulty through this process at times, it will always be held with great tenderness.
