Mike Cornell | Follow Your Ghost – Peer Support for Neurodivergent Minds
Virtual Peer Support for Neurodivergent Adults
My brain has always been pretty buggered. So many of my early memories and reflections involve feeling out of step, outcasted, or under a dark cloud. At the core, I’m a punkish creative and introspective nerd, which is probably why I get along with misfits so well.
But part of what makes that core so solid is what it’s been mended from. Knee deep in “The Suck,” you could say; depression, suicidal ideation, anorexia, hardcore self-hate, just to name a few. Hell, I even learned—waaay later than most—that I’m Autistic/ADHD (AuDHDers rise!). Life’s thrown me its share of UGH and I’ve spent a lot of time learning to stop hating my brain.
Still kind of a love/hate relationship, actually. But progress is progress.
Anyway, I had to give those personal hells a point, right? That’s how I ended up as a Certified Peer Support Specialist. One simple wish I have always had was never wanting anyone else to feel as alone as I was. That’s why I’m here. All that time in “The Suck” taught me how to recognize what you’re going through—and see you, sit with you, and help you figure out what you want to do about it.
The best part? You won’t have to perform or prove anything. I already get it.
In our sessions, you’ll get space to move in a direction without losing yourself. I don’t do one-size-fits-all advice or empty platitudes. Let’s sift through your broken pieces together and see what you can make from them—instead of sweeping them away.
I’m in your corner. Because, damn, somebody has to be.
