Trauma doesn’t define you – but its imprints can keep you stuck in survival mode, leaving lasting effects on your mind, body, and spirit. Trauma reorganizes how your nervous system works, alters your perception of the world, and hijacks your emotional responses. You might feel hypervigilant, fearful of your own emotions, heavy and lacking energy, or disconnected from others.

For neurodivergent individuals, these challenges can be even harder. A sensitive nervous system can make trauma feel more overwhelming, and being misunderstood by others often adds to the emotional pain. That’s why it’s so important to have a space where the connection between trauma and neurodivergence is truly understood—a compassionate space that supports healing and growth.

As a non-neurotypical individual myself, I acknowledge and embrace neurodivergent ways of experiencing the world and incorporate this understanding into the therapeutic process.

Experience and Expertise:
I work through the NHS and independently with both neurotypical and neurodivergent adult clients (18+). I specialize in working with primary and secondary symptoms of trauma, which include anxiety, depression, social anxiety, and chronic conditions as well as PTSD and complex PTSD stemming from single or multiple adverse experiences, for example childhood / attachment trauma, medical trauma, birth trauma, social trauma (exclusion, bullying, discrimination), emotional neglect, or abuse.

I am a neurodivergent, bilingual BABCP accredited practitioner with 9 years of experience. I have specialized training in Compassion-Focused Therapy, Schema Therapy, CBT, CPT, Mindfulness, and somatic approaches, which I integrate into my practice.

Approach:
PTSD and complex PTSD develop as responses to traumatic experiences, often deeply rooted in relational wounds where safety and trust were compromised. These responses are closely tied to shifts in nervous system states, such as hypervigilance, shutdown, or avoidance, which shape our interactions and relationships.

I recognize how neurodivergence can intersect with trauma, creating additional layers of challenge that need to be addressed with care. I pay special attention to sensory sensitivities, unique expression and communication styles, cognitive patterning, autistic burnout, alexythymia, and ADHD-related mental restlessness, tailoring my approach to address these specific experiences with care and understanding.

Sessions:
Through our therapeutic work together, we will explore how these states influence your present experiences and thinking patterns, uncovering the ways trauma imprints affect your body and mind. By building greater emotional regulation, we can create the foundation for deeper connections, enhanced resilience, and a greater sense of well-being.
