Erin - Registered Social Worker (MSW, RSW)

Greetings! I’m a queer AuDHD therapist working with youth (13+) and adults in Alberta, Ontario, and Nova Scotia for individual virtual therapy, and I’m passionate about neurodiversity-affirming and queer and trans-affirming therapy that is accessible for all folks.
My areas of focus include: making your life more ADHD/Autistic-friendly, supporting with unmasking or sensory sensitivities, exploring gender and sexuality, divorce and breakups, life transitions, people-pleasing, and intellectualizing. I use trauma-informed, intersectional feminist, anti-oppressive, and anti-carceral lenses for the work we do together.
I bring a casual, human vibe to the therapy space and welcome your whole human self in our work – fidgeting and stimming encouraged! I typically draw on narrative, somatic (body-based), and expressive arts therapy approaches, but consent and transparency are extremely important to me, so we find what works best for you within my competencies.
Prior to becoming a therapist, I worked in the disability community as a researcher and as a personal support worker. I am passionate about making therapy accessible and effective for *your bodymind* and how you see the world. As an AuDHDer in therapy myself, I’ve had my fair share of therapists who just don’t get it and it can be a tough journey trying to find the right fit. If we meet and you don’t feel like we’re quite the right fit, I always encourage folks to let me know if they need some support finding another therapist who could be a better fit. The relationship you have with your therapist is the *most* important part of therapy!
Outside of therapy, I’m a great big nerd. I play a lot of D&D, I crochet, I research absolutely anything, and I will stop to say hello to any dog, cat, squirrel, or bird that I see. I’m looking forward to meeting you! 🙂
