Dr Tanya - Psychologist

Hello & welcome,
I am an integrative trauma-informed Counselling Psychologist, offering EMDR, mindfulness & compassion based approaches, polyvagal-informed therapy, and a passion for working with neurodivergent individuals.
My lifelong special interest has been in Psychology and all things to do with the body & mind, trauma, culturally sensitive and neuro-affirmative approaches to healing. I hold a Doctorate in Counselling Psychology and have undertaken specialist training in EMDR, POlyvagal informed therapy, Compassion – focussed therapy and Mindfulness based approaches. In addition to this I have engaged in my own personal therapy, healing and learning over the past 20 years, which provides the foundation from which I work.
I am a late realised autistic, diagnosed at the age of 44 years old after learning I was autistic in my journey to better understand my twin daughters who are both autistic/PDA. I work part time as I am a parent-carer to my daughters and have a good understanding of the challenges autistic children face in our current education system in the UK.
There may be many reasons why someone seeks therapy and if it would be helpful we can arrange a brief telephone call or zoom call to discuss your needs and see if I am potentially the right therapist for you.
I work online and in person (based in Norwich, UK) and I offer a sliding scale for Health & Social Care professionals where my standard fee would be a barrier to accessing therapy.
