Debbie Humphries (MBACP)
Do you have thoughts or feelings that you feel unable to talk about with friends or family? You may have received a diagnosis of autism or ADHD or you may be wondering about your neurodivergent traits.
I’m Debbie and I am genuinely interested to understand more about you and your unique experience. I offer short and long term counselling sessions to adults of all ages within the UK. I work online or in person in my therapy room in Hartley Wintney, Hampshire.
As a neurodivergent counsellor, I find that autistic and ADHD clients benefit from having a counsellor who understands neurodiversity through lived experience.
I also regularly work with those impacted by abuse, such as sexual, emotional or physical abuse, including childhood trauma. Even a single incident of abuse can have a profound, lasting impact, including anxiety, depression and low self esteem.
I work within a trauma informed, phased approach to ensure that we work at a pace that is safe for you. As an ‘integrative’ counsellor, I believe it’s important for the therapy to be shaped to your individual needs.
Tailoring your counselling specifically for you means that I can adapt multiple approaches to help you meet your therapy goals. I am passionate in my belief that people have an amazing capacity for change and growth. I work by providing an environment that helps people flourish and find their authentic self.
