I am a disabled, neurodivergent counsellor working with adults and young people aged 16+. I offer integrative counselling and rewind trauma therapy online and in Launceston, Cornwall, United Kingdom.

I also offer supervision and consultation for counsellors, therapists, mental health practitioners, education professionals and others. Please see https://jadefarrington.com/clinical-supervision/

I am ND, LGBTQIA+ and home education friendly and aim to affirm your lived experience. The majority of my clients are exploring their identity and processing their past after realising their neurodivergence, but others are seeking help with other life issues.

I do not view autism, ADHD or other neurodivergences as disorders. There is nothing wrong with being neurodivergent. Research shows that building a positive neurodivergent identity is crucial for improving self-esteem.

As an integrative counsellor I draw on different techniques depending on your needs, preferences and aims. What works for one person does not necessarily work for another, even if they share a neurotype. I utilise therapeutic techniques from a variety of modalities including person centred counselling; gestalt therapy; transpersonal counselling; and adapted, neurodivergent-friendly cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavioural therapy (DBT). I tailor these to your aims and only offer therapeutic techniques in a neurodivergent-affirming way, not to encourage masking or neuronormative behaviour.

In addition to counselling I also provide Rewind Trauma Therapy for PTSD which quickly stops flashbacks, nightmares and intrusive thoughts without having to talk about them.

I offer a free 15-minute online call so you can see if I’m the right person to work with you.

I am professionally accredited by the NCPS; ICO registered; and hold insurance and a DBS check.

My formal qualifications include:
Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling
MSc Psychology
Postgraduate Certificate in Clinical Supervision of Psychological Therapies Practice
Postgraduate Diploma in Mental Health Practice in Education Settings
Level 5 Diploma in Trauma and Mental Health Informed Schools and Communities

I also undertake regular CPD courses and learning, particularly focused on autism, ADHD, neurodiversity and neurodivergence, as well as a certificate in Rewind Trauma Therapy.
