Britta Leffler - MA, AMFT

I am a queer, ND, culturally sensitive therapist with an understanding of how marginalization and systemic oppression lead to stressors such as economic instability, social isolation, discrimination, and erasure – all of which harm mental and physical health. My practice is Gender Affirming, sex worker allied, chronic illness and disability diagnosis allied, HIV/AIDs diagnosis allied, and passionate about cultural competency. I am a therapist based in Los Angeles, California, and have been working with clients since 2020. I aim to support radical healing and integration.
My background includes working as a clinician in community mental health settings as well as in private practice settings, offering individual, family, and group therapy.
Currently, I am working full-time in a supervised private practice setting, offering in-person and virtual sessions as an AMFT to adult individuals and families.
My unique approach to therapy is rooted in both psychodynamic and somatic modalities, weaving various styles together to enable clients to fully identify and move through unresolved trauma in order to experience authentic healing and sustainable change.
Most importantly, I vow to work through a culturally competent lens, with a firm understanding of not only the interpersonal but the systemic conditions that lead to mental and physical health suffering. Within the therapeutic container, it is my goal to be a collaborator in affirming a client on their journey to connecting with their most authentic self.
