Jessica H. Smith, LCSW-S and Associates

The world can be a tough place for neurodivergent folks. ADHD, autism, chronic illness, trauma, disability and other mental health and developmental struggles can sometimes make meeting your own basic, everyday needs feel exhausting. Keeping up with the responsibilities and demands of life might leave you feeling overwhelmed, stuck, ashamed, lonely or embarrassed. Other people don’t seem to understand why it’s so hard for you and sometimes neither do you! You have so many strengths, but it feels like they’re buried under layers of self-doubt, frustration and burnout. You’re not broken. Your needs are different. You deserve support. We SO get it.
Our mission is to create a safe, affirming space where every person can grow their own way—at their own pace, in alignment with their values, and with compassionate guidance along the journey. We honor the uniqueness of each individual’s experience and support them in discovering and cultivating a path that feels authentic and sustainable.
We do impactful work with parents and relatives too!
As family supporters, we help parents tune in to what their child’s behavior communicates about underlying struggles and needs. We work to help parents respond with empathy and patience, encourage emotional regulation and empower parents with skills that promote connection and trust over strict compliance and endless reward/punishment cycles.
We are all gender-affirming with focus on liberation, de-colonization and anti-carceral practice. Jessica is in her 2nd year of a 3 year training to become a certified Somatic Experiencing® (SE™) Practitioner through Somatic Experiencing® International.
