Alex - Autistic Somatics for burnout & unmasking: nervous system regulation + body awareness
Practitioner identifies as: ADHD, AuDHD, Autistic, Neurodivergent
Gender and/or sexuality: Queer
Pronouns: they/she

I work with late-identified autistic adults to ease burnout, reduce pain, soothe & calm your nervous system, unlearn stress & trauma patterns, feel your body & emotions more easily, and ease chronic conditions.

Rewire your brain & body-mind with gentle movement lessons from The Feldenkrais Method®.
Accessible and adaptable for all body sizes and abilities.

Offering 1:1 sessions, group classes, and recorded lessons — both online, and in-person near Brevard, North Carolina.

Trauma-informed. Neuro-affirming. LGBTQIA2S+ affirming. Accessible and adaptable for all body sizes and abilities. Self-id is 100% valid; no diagnosis required. Non-autistic & questioning folks welcome.

Work with your brain, not against it.

I believe in a world where autistic people have real agency, deep belonging, and the support we need to thrive as our full, neurodivergent selves.

Easy, effort-free, embodied learning.
No cognitive effort or struggling to find words.
No stretching, straining, or exercise.
No forcing or fixing; no willpower needed.
No remembering to hold your body “the right way”.
Just supporting your nervous system to learn the way it does naturally.

So you can be your authentic self, do the things you love, and make aligned life choices and decisions based on how you feel and what you want and need.

Work with a kind & intelligent autistic-ADHD somatic practitioner who “gets it”.

“Alex’s classes are very peaceful and there’s no stress or pressure. That quiet hour each class is itself something I treasure.” – Kim

“I was amazed by the simple and accessible approach Alex took in her Feldenkrais sessions. I have been healing rheumatoid arthritis for 18.5 years and was amazed to find more comfort and ease in my body after working with Alex. I felt celebrated to come as I was and felt very met in that place, and always looked forward to the next session!” – Alegra-Ray, Farmer, Dancer, & Death Doula

The Feldenkrais Method® has benefits for chronic pain, chronic fatigue, autoimmune conditions, sleep disorders & insomnia, gastrointestinal conditions, eating disorders, mental health conditions, fibromyalgia, migraines & headaches, Ehlers Danlos, PTSD & C-PTSD, anxiety & depression, and other co-occuring conditions.

Note: I am a somatic practitioner, not a medical or mental health provider. I work primarily with learning, movement, awareness, and nervous system regulation. I do not diagnose or treat medical or mental health conditions. Medical and/or mental health care may still be needed in addition to Feldenkrais®.

“Alex has such an intelligent and gentle manner about her that it was with full confidence that I put myself in her hands.” – Susan
