Sarah Pearson - Counselling
I’m Sarah, a compassionate and empathetic integrative counsellor, offering a confidential, safe and non-judgmental space for you to explore and navigate the challenges that you may be facing.
I offer short or long-term counselling to suit your needs.
I have experience of supporting individuals who may be struggling with the challenges of neurodivergence such as Autism and ADHD and have also supported those who self identify as neurodivergent. I have also worked with parents of neurodivergent children.
You may be struggling with managing intense emotions and sensory overload or feeling misunderstood and isolated in social situations. Maybe you are struggling with organisation, planning and time management, or you are feeling burnout from the impact of masking and trying to keep on top of it all.
I can work with you to make sense of your emotions and experiences. I value each person’s unique way of thinking and feeling and work from a strength-based approach that encourages self understanding, compassion and self acceptance.
The challenges of neurodivergence can make you feel different, like you don’t fit in and it can be difficult to find the right support. I recognise and support neurodivergent differences, rather than seeing them as something that needs to be changed or fixed.
My aim is to provide a safe space where you can explore these challenges and find a way forward that feels right for you. This could be understanding your emotions, working on emotional regulation and overwhelm, identifying patterns in your life or developing effective coping strategies to improve your emotional wellbeing.
I work with adults and children aged 16+ and have worked with clients experiencing challenges with Autism, ADHD and other neurodivergence, anxiety, depression, burnout, bereavement, divorce, trauma, relationship issues, identity issues.
As an integrative counsellor, I draw from a range of therapeutic approaches and am flexible in my approach so that I am able to meet your needs and goals. My core approach is person-centred, which focuses on creating a safe, non-judgmental space where you can feel accepted, understood, and heard.
We may also explore how past experiences may be affecting how you feel or relate to others today. I am gentle in my approach and will always work at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
If you are struggling with any of the above issues or are feeling unsure of where to turn next, please get in touch to arrange a free 15 minute telephone consultation to see whether we’d be a good fit to work together.
