Warren Abercrombie, Neurodivergent Counsellor & Occupational Therapist
I’m a counsellor and HCPC-registered occupational therapist working with autistic and ADHD adults, online across the UK and in person in Enniskillen.
I’m neurodivergent myself, and it shapes how I work. Sessions don’t ask you to hold eye contact, arrive with language ready, or perform being fine. Masking isn’t treated as cooperation, and you don’t need a diagnosis to start.
Much of what brings people to me isn’t a shortage of insight. It’s exhaustion that rest doesn’t touch, environments that cost you far more than they appear to, and noticing what you feel only once it’s severe. My occupational therapy background means we can work directly with sensory profile, regulation and energy alongside talking, rather than only talking about them. Training includes Sensory Attachment Intervention for Adults and Adolescents and nervous-system approaches to trauma.
I work with adults with trauma, anxiety and burnout. Sessions are 50 or 80 minutes, with a longer in-person session for deeper body-based work. A free 30-minute call is a simple place to start.
