Katrin Kemmerzehl, Neurodiversity-Affirming Counsellor
Welcome! Hi, I’m Katrin, a qualified counsellor based in Newcastle upon Tyne. I work in a neurodiversity-affirming way, offering a warm and friendly space where you can be yourself, talk openly, explore what’s on your mind and feel at ease.
You might be feeling overwhelmed, wondering why everyday life feels so exhausting, struggling with anxiety or burnout, experiencing low confidence, masking at work or finding relationships challenging. Perhaps you’re going through a change or loss, feeling stuck or wondering what you want from life.
Sometimes we find ourselves questioning who we are, where we fit and what feels right for us.
I support people exploring what neurodivergence means for them, including autism, ADHD or AuDHD. I also welcome neurotypical people and anyone wondering whether they may be neurodivergent.
When we work together, I’ll listen carefully to what’s on your mind and offer questions and reflections when they feel helpful.
There’s room to talk, think and explore what matters to you, and where helpful, how this fits into your life.
Over time, counselling can support greater self-compassion, a clearer sense of yourself and a way forward that feels like your own. Together, we can explore what feels right for you, at your own pace, with your thoughts and feedback always welcome.
Support is available online, by phone or as walk-and-talk sessions in Leazes Park.
I offer a free 10-minute phone call to talk about whats been going on for you and answer any questions you may have. Payment is by bank transfer before each session. I’m available Monday to Friday, between 8am and 5pm.
Whatever you’re facing, let’s talk.
If you’d like to arrange an appointment, please email me at warmandfriendlycounselling@gmail.com.
I look forward to connecting with you!
