I’m Suzanne, an AuDHD counsellor and psychotherapist offering neurodivergent-affirming, person-centred therapy to adults across the UK by video or telephone.
I work with autistic, ADHD and AuDHD adults, including people who are diagnosed, self-identified, questioning whether they may be neurodivergent, or coming to understand themselves later in life. You do not need a diagnosis to work with me.
My approach is warm, collaborative and non-pathologising. I recognise that therapy designed around neurotypical expectations does not always work well for neurodivergent people, so I am happy to adapt how we work together. There is no expectation to make eye contact, communicate in a particular way, sit still, mask, or arrive knowing exactly what you want to talk about.
Alongside neurodivergence, I have particular interests in trauma, autistic burnout, masking and unmasking, identity, anxiety, low self-esteem, relationships, workplace difficulties, adoption and care experience, pet bereavement, and experiences of high-control religion, faith change, religious trauma. I am also kink-aware and kink-allied.
I am trained in person-centred therapy but use an integrative approach, which means that you remain at the heart of the therapy. I won’t tell you who you should be or try to make you appear more neurotypical. Instead, we can explore your experiences together and work towards greater understanding, self-acceptance and ways of living that fit you.
Sessions are available online or by telephone, and I offer a brief free initial consultation so that we can see whether working together feels right for you.
