I am an experienced counsellor, supervisor and Focusing practitioner with 25 years of therapeutic experience. I have lived experience of neurodiversity, and of being diagnosed later on in life. I work therapeutically with individuals and couples, including relationships where one or both people are neurodivergent.

~Individual Counselling~
Whether you are experiencing specific challenges or seeking greater self-understanding I am here to provide a safe and supportive space where you can speak openly and experience genuine understanding and acceptance. As we explore areas that matter to you, fresh insights and perspectives emerge. You may become aware of long-standing patterns and changes that you would like to make. As part of the counselling process, many people recognise their strengths, leading to greater confidence, and new ways of moving forward in life.

~Couples Counselling~
Couples counselling is for any two people in a significant relationship including married couples, partners, parent and child and siblings. As your therapist I am here to listen to you both with empathy and warmth, whilst helping you to communicate and understand each other. Often, people find that beneath the presenting issue, there is something else going on such as one person wanting more intimacy than the other, difficulty controlling emotions, trust issues, and external pressures from family and work.

~Supervision~
My core approach is person-centred; I work collaboratively with experienced and trainee supervisees to explore your work and professional development. As a neurodivergent affirming supervisor, I provide a safe space where there is no need to perform ‘neurotypically’. Masking can be exhausting and may also hide your natural strengths. Together we can look at your own way of processing such as pattern recognition, hyper-focus and deep empathy, understanding how these qualities can enhance your work.

~Focusing~
I am a Registered Focusing Teacher and mentor with the British Focusing Association. Focusing is a gentle way of listening to your inner self and being in touch with your body’s wisdom. By paying attention to physical sensations, you can be more aware of their emotional qualities. Focusing can help in many areas of life including decision making, relationships and creativity. Some people find that Focusing helps them to reduce their anxiety and to ground themselves in overwhelming situations. I offer Focusing sessions and training.

Do get in touch if there is anything that you would like to ask. I offer a free 20 minute online meeting to see if we are a good match.
