I am recently figuring out that I am likely autistic, and have been diagnosed with ADHD for many years. It feels odd to say that in a profile, because many believe that therapists/psychologists should be perfect and have no conditions or problems in order to help others. But I believe that having the experience of grappling with being neurodivergent makes me a more empathetic, compassionate, and effective therapist and psychologist. I can relate, because I’ve been there, and am there.
I am a therapist, and also a psychologist who does assessments for ADHD and autism through Lifestance You will find people who get it there, and can meet with you where you are.
