I’m Raven LeFebvre (she/her), a licensed clinical social worker with twenty-two years who is trauma-informed (actually) and neurodivergence-specialized and affirming (actually). I am licensed to practice across the following US states: NC MD VT MA MN PA VA FL SC DE ID UT. I offer individual psychotherapy and couples and family therapy by telehealth, along with comprehensive assessments for autistic, ADHD, and AuDHD adults.

I work with late-diagnosed and high-masking neurodivergent adults, mixed-neurotype couples and families, and people living with chronic pain or chronic illness, including Ehlers-Danlos syndromes (EDS), dysautonomia, and mast cell activation syndrome (MCAS). I also specialize in complex and developmental trauma, including healthcare system trauma, the wounding that comes from traumatic invalidation, and recovery from covert and coercive control and scapegoat abuse. My work also addresses internalized scapegoating, parentification, infantilization, epistemic control, internalized ableism, disenfranchised grief and rage, and the impact of hierarchical and extractive systems and ideologies on identity, relationships, and self-trust. My approach is focused on authenticity, building internal authority, and supporting clients in claiming and fortifying their own ways of knowing and being.

I work extensively with highly internalized, masked, and compensated autism, particularly in adults whose autistic, ADHD, and AuDHD traits may not fit the stereotypical presentations based on the external gaze. Many of the individuals I work with have spent years, if not decades, developing sophisticated ways of adapting, masking, and compensating—often without realizing how much effort those strategies require—so a major focus of my assessments is understanding the internal autistic, ADHD, and AuDHD experience, not just externally observable behaviors. This is especially important because autism and ADHD frequently overlap with, or are obscured by, complex trauma, anxiety, perfectionism, people-pleasing, compliance conditioning, and longstanding compensatory adaptations, making it essential to carefully understand how these factors interact rather than making assumptions based on surface-level traits alone. Unfortunately, many women and AFAB adults continue to be overlooked or dismissed because traditional diagnostic models were developed around more externally visible presentations, causing clinicians to miss internal experiences such as chronic social monitoring, camouflaging, sensory overwhelm, identity confusion secondary to navigating ableist paradigms, exhaustion from masking, or a deeply intuitive lifelong sense of being different without understanding why. My approach is grounded in the understanding that autism and ADHD are not simply collections of outward behaviors, but neurodevelopmental ways of experiencing and interacting with the world that deserve thoughtful, individualized evaluation. I strive to create an assessment process where clients feel understood within the full context of their lived experience and where questions about autism and ADHD can be explored with curiosity, nuance, and care.

My approach is eclectic and highly individualized, drawing most heavily from systems theory, attachment work, depth and psychodynamic therapy, Jungian shadow work and individuation, existential therapy, DBT-informed and trauma-focused ACT, narrative therapy, and parts-work. The heart of it is equity, respect, and psychological safety. Let’s dismantle and deconstruct this together, at your pace.
