Matt Hall - White Bear Psychological Services
I am a licensed psychologist in the state of Minnesota. I completed both a master’s degree in counseling and a Ph.D. in school psychology from the University of Minnesota. Before starting my assessment practice, I worked for over a decade as a school psychologist across elementary, middle, and high school levels. My time in the school system gave me a deep understanding of the challenges students and caregivers face, and a passion for helping them receive effective support. My favorite part of being in private practice is having the dedicated time to truly get to know the people I work with, and seeing the life changing difference this process makes for them.
While much of my professional background is rooted in working with youth, I have a deep passion for working with adults, particularly those with more subtle, internalized, or masked presentations of neurodivergence who were overlooked as children. Many of the adults I see have spent a lifetime wondering why certain things feel harder for them than for others. I find it incredibly rewarding to help late identified individuals better understand their history, recognize their unique strengths, and move forward with greater confidence and self acceptance.
When I am not working, I enjoy all the things that make me a true Minnesotan, spending time at the lake, playing hockey, and being a long suffering Vikings fan. I love spending time with my wife and our two elementary school aged kids. All four of us are neurodivergent (Autistic, ADHD, or both), which is one of the reasons I am so personally invested in the neurodiversity affirming movement.
