Lottie Storey
I am a qualified integrative psychotherapeutic counsellor working with individuals online and in person from my practice space in central Bristol (BS1). My approach is warm, down-to-earth and collaborative, plus I work from a trauma-informed perspective.
In our sessions together, I am completely led by you, adapting our sessions to fit your pace and drawing on a blend of therapeutic models to support your unique needs. My training is in person-centred, psychodynamic and Gestalt therapies. I anchor all my work in my values: compassion, kindness, curiosity, honesty, respect and equality.
My practice is neurodivergent-affirming. I don’t view your traits as deficits, I see you as a beautiful human who wants to be understood. Together, we could unpick a lifetime of masking, make sense of how you experience the world and build practical, personalised skills. We could focus on developing emotional literacy or practise nervous system regulation. We will always work together in a way that accommodates your brain, not anyone else’s.
I am a member of Attention Allies, a specialist network dedicated to supporting neurodivergent individuals, which allows me to stay at the forefront of neurodiversity-affirming practices. My professional background includes working with OTR, supporting young people with a diverse range of mental health and neurodivergent experiences. Alongside my clinical work, I bring deep personal insight from supporting my own family members through their Autistic and ADHD discoveries, during which neurodivergence became a special interest for me.
Through this combination of professional training and lived experience, I aim to offer skilled, affirming therapy rooted in a true understanding of ADHD, Autism and other neurodivergent profiles. My approach is entirely non-pathologising, focusing on helping you understand your unique nervous system, unmask safely if you choose to and build practical, self-compassionate strategies that actually work for your life.
