Hi, I’m Laurie Shapiro, a therapist with lived experience of AuDHD and an autoimmune condition called Celiac disease. I provide neurodiversity-affirming psychotherapy through a person-centered lens, honoring each individual’s unique experiences and identity. I offer steady, reliable support — always on time, responsive, and thorough — combining flexible, structured care that honors emotional readiness while gently working toward sustainable, practical change.

I’m the founder of Animal Assisted Psychotherapy of MA, a private telehealth counseling practice serving adults (18+) across Massachusetts. I offer all sessions securely through the SimplePractice platform.

I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC # 12114) in the state of Massachusetts and am currently pursuing advanced training in neurodivergent assessment.
