Karen Bommentre, LMFT
I am a licensed psychotherapist with over a decade of clinical experience and am currently completing a PhD in Psychology with a specialization in Somatic Psychology.
I specialize in supporting neurodivergent individuals, including autistic and AuDHD adults, teens, and children. Many of the clients I work with are highly sensitive, deeply feeling, and have spent years masking, people-pleasing, overthinking, or adapting themselves to environments that do not fully fit their needs.
My work is informed by somatic psychology, neuroscience, nervous system regulation, and evidence-based therapies including EMDR, ACT, CBT, mindfulness, and parts-work approaches. I help clients develop greater self-understanding, emotional resilience, and a more sustainable way of living that honors who they naturally are.
Areas of focus include anxiety, burnout, sensory and emotional overwhelm, trauma, life transitions, self-esteem, perfectionism, relationship challenges, identity exploration, late-diagnosed neurodivergence, and nervous system regulation.
My approach is neurodivergent-affirming, collaborative, and compassionate. Together, we work to better understand patterns that may be keeping you stuck while building greater self-trust, self-acceptance, and connection to your values.
