Julia Hallman, MA. RP
My first speciality was anxiety: I help clients find a balance between our need for control and our need for acceptance. I try to teach people to notice and change their own thinking. I work with all queer and non-binary identities. I have learned a lot about neuro-diversity (ADHD, Autism, Giftedness, highly-sensitive, high-intelligence, high-emotionality), trauma and grief (big and scary and also the very normal and common kinds), and have been able to help many people who struggle with these. I work with many different kinds of relationship issues, including abuse, sexuality and kink, non-monogamy, and loneliness.
My primary modes in session are validation and exploration. I take a humanistic and relational approach. I use CBT, Narrative Therapy, and Self-Compassion Training in my sessions. I try to offer useful resources and information regularly to clients.
